This site is dedicated to help raise funds for children with special needs and learning delays to acquire technology like iPads/iPod Touches & Apps to assist with their challenges & to review Apps relevant for their use. This technology can benefit these children beyond measure. iPads/iPod Touches are changing the way special needs children interact with the world they live in. They are making developmental progress they could only dream of in the past. iPads/iPod Touches are also a much more affordable solution than many of the assistive devices that are currently being used. However, many families cannot afford to purchase this technology for their children. If they need federal assistance to help purchase the assistive devices, they have to wait until their children are half grown in order to receive it. Even though, iPads/iPod Touches are starting to get on the list of approved assistive device products that can be purchased with federal funds and though insurance companies, it can be a difficult process to get your approvals. Life skills and special needs departments in schools are also having a hard time getting the funds to purchase these tools for their classrooms. We believe it is imperative to get this technology into the hands of these children. The faster they get these devices, the faster they can start learning and experiencing the world. We will offer suggestions on how to raise funds for these devices, raise funds ourselves to contribute, and help make others aware of the issue so they will contribute toward this effort. We also want to help education parents on how they can use the ARD/IEP and healthcare process as a possible ways to get this technology. Together we can get these wonderful kids the tools they need!
